Wow, I am blogging after 2 whole years! Long long time, eh? Feels great to be back!

Anyway, here's something I have been doodling around....trying to get comfortable with Flash...since I have some pretty big plans (Oh well not SO big!) for some short animation!

Soda Pop

Here's somethin new for this month's CgTantra Animation Session..A guy picks up a soda can and find it eeyuckk..yeah I ve kinda exaggerated that point! ;)

Not totally wacom but yeah I still cant help showin it off :) so these are the thumbnails...















And here's the animation...though I want to add some more stuff into it..probably him smellin the can too before deciding to pick it up...and a coupla sound effects to register the fact that he drinks the soda...

Pole perfomance...

Good news folks! I FINALLY bought a WACOM!!! Yup yup I did...and this is somethin I tried out last night...forgive me for my oh-so-poor drawing skills though...I am still working on the animation...yeah become quite lazy doin 3d without the IB's...gotta do them in this one now though and tweak da timing too! Yeahhh I m too excited I got da WACOM!!! :)

Mistletoe Mishap

Hey folks, yup I am back after a really long LONG time...and well lots stuff happened while I was away...for starters, I have moved base to Tokyo! And I am working with Polygon Pictures right now!

Alright then, well here's something that I started animating...its just a WIP...I havent had much time to work on it later...but thought I d post it anyway. Lets hope I get some time off my schedule to work on this one.

Why is called 'Mistletoe Mishap'...humm that you may never know until I finish this piece of work! ;)

Hey woww long time huh???!!! Yup, been a long time since I d worked on any personal animations. So, today I thought...lets try something!! Though. I havent refined it yet. Ah! Excuses, excuses...thats all I give right..hee okie I ll work on it tonight...hopefully! ;)

Flash tails....!

Hey people! Here's some stuff I tried on flash...Its just a rough keyframe test without any inbetweens...



A ball's tail...! Well, that's what I decided to call it. The timing of the ball has been done in 3d by my dear friend Amrit..this was just a flash test I did to show him the secondaries....

When it rains...it pours!!!

Hey guys...I am back after a long hiatus...been having major issues with my broadband connection here...but hopefully its back to normal now. The broadband service blamed it on the rains....yeah right!

Well, it just started rainin 4 days ago! And its already flooded here in Mumbai!!! In fact, I d my very first adventure of the year today..when I was almost stranded in the rains. Left for work in the morning (obviously by train, I didnt dare to drive to work!), reached Andheri & it was pouring cats and dogs! I took a ric to work...n we almost made it through all the water when I realised the lane where my workplace is was flooded with almost knee - high water! So, I ask the ric driver to take me back to the station...and what happens...the traffic police have blocked S.V. road coz the Andheri subway's flooded. Damn!

I get outta the ric....(am drenched to the core btw!)....chat up with one of the traffic policemen...while taking shelter under his umbrella. Finally, I decide to get in on one of the BEST buses stuck in the jam. Meantime, he gives me his cell number where I can reach him if I have any problems. Very helpful indeed and quite sweet too!

Next thing, am on the bus and luckily what I find out is hey this is a chembur bus! But, wait! There's still probz waitin to happen! One of the passengers advises me not to take this bus to chembur coz it takes one of the worst routes possible (through kurla! One of the first places to get flooded!).

Anyway, so I get down at Andheri station like after an hour (usually takes about 10 min to reach there) and decide my next plan of action (its really hard to think in such circumstances!). Thankfully, in another 10 min I happen to get another bus to Chembur and I reach home safe & sound in about 2 hours (all the way praying that the bus doesnt shut down in the raging waters!)

Ah! Anyway, well thats one helluva adventure I d this year though not even remotely comparable to last year's 26/7!!! Alrightee then, I ll be back to post some of my work. And yeah hey thanks to my dear friend Amrit who's given me one of the best birthday gifts I could ever get. So hey Amrit, I owe you one! Thanks dude!!!!
